Chris Durbin
Chris Durbin was selected by the Wylie Hall of Honor at its lone 2012 inductee. Chris is a 1999 graduate of Wylie High School. At Wylie High School Chris was selected All-District four times, All-Area four times and All-State 2 times.
Chris attended Baylor University on a baseball scholarship. At Baylor, Chris led the Bears in several hitting categories and ranks among the all-time career leaders at Baylor (not counting his senior year which is not available to our website at this time) in batting average (5th, .344), doubles (4th, 23), home runs (9th, 23), extra base hits (6th, 85), total bases (8th,346), and slugging percentage (9th, .569). Many considered his arm to be the best among outfielders in the Big 12.
Chris was selected All-Big 12 three years and was an All-American selection both his junior and senior years. Chris was drafted in the 5th round by the Boston Red Sox and played several years in that organization.
Chris is now in police work in the Mid-Cities and is married with three children.
